What We Do

Overview

The Facility Management Department within Facility Services (FS) is responsible for the repair and maintenance of over 300 HISD facilities around the City of Houston. The Department employs over 400 employees that perform many facets of work utilizing multiple crafts. Facility Management is divided into three maintenance areas, plus the Alarms/Security, Auxiliary Support, Environmental Services and Hazardous Materials departments. All of our departments strive to provide the best quality of service in the most effective, efficient and timely manner. Our departments employ the most technically skilled personnel and we strive to develop our staff on an ongoing basis. Our primary goal is to provide the highest level of service to schools and facilities throughout the district.
